I was very happy with the taste and texture of this mix when compared to a normal pancake. They may be slightly more dense, but that didn’t detract from the flavor or my liking of them. I’ve also tried a brand I purchased from Whole Foods and while that brand was almost as good, it came in with four less grams or protein per serving and I believe less fiber.

This is my first time trying protein pancakes as I'm trying to lose weight and gain muscle. I wanted something yummy and different than traditional diet foods and sources of protein and these are great! They're a little dense and not exactly a perfect match to a pancake flavor, but pretty darn close. I put a little sugar free butter flavored syrup on them, even added cinnamon to one batch. I will be buying more.

Years ago a former acquaintance of mine gave me a great recipe for whey pancakes that I used until now. Recently, a new friend of mine suggested these for the protein content and flavor. Her “elementary age” age children even like them. The texture is very fluffy and it has a great taste!! I was very pleased and will continue to use this batter in the future!! 😀

Amazing taste,easy to make,packed with protein and fiber. Unlike most home made protein pancake recipes these do not have the dry/protein taste to them but taste just like regular delicious pancakes. I ordered the 12oz bag just to try them out and after finishing the bag I immediately ordered the 24oz bag. I eat these regularly as a pre workout meal.

I had really low expectations for this product because I thought the taste of protein powder would be overwhelming but wow i'm in love! These are light for those who said it tasted bland. I don't mind it, I add cinnamon, fruits, etc to add flavor but I personally think its good without. I love the natural ingredients as well and that it's not plain old white flour. Makes it guilt free! The only thing is that they don't really fluff up, i'm thinking of experimenting and adding a little extra baking powder to see if that would change anything. But overall really impressed!

I buy these buttermilk pancakes for backpacking (1st mornings leaving from car, too heavy to tote) and my adult grandkids love them. We use butter and syrup with these so the taste is excellent and we are certainly not looking to skimp on calories. Regular pancakes burn off in an hour or so but these stick with you until a trail bar around lunch time. I can't address the amount of water to use as I have always just added water until the batter was to correct consistency (after 60+ years, I know how thin to make batter for a good flip). Haven't found a local source so I continue to order my annual supply from Amazon. For the past 25 years, I have had regular pancakes prior to long distance bicycle rides and trust me the protein makes a huge difference if you are going to exercise and you want the meal to last for a while.

I am really picky about the taste of many protein products. For some reason, I decided to give these a try. I am so impressed! I just had my first pancake and it was so yummy! No weird protein aftertaste that you sometimes can get. I will definitely be purchasing again and trying their other products!

I can have pancakes again, and they're healthy : ) Combined with xylitol-sweetened sugar and I don't feel any concern about eating things bad for me.

At first and didn’t like these. If you use water the texture is not pleasant. I’m a retired chef of 38 yrs. Trust me I’m very meticulous. After I experimented with this mix, I found that using milk ( high protein fat free milk) does not provide that not so pleasant texture. I love these pancakes, they filled me up for hours and give me lots of energy in the pool and get me over to my next meal. I can’t eat very much because I had gastric sleeve so I take the leftovers with me to the pool. You know what they’re even good cold. However I do put banana and New Jersey blueberries in it. So if you’re wondering why it has a gritty taste change the liquid cook it slow. I also use a tablespoon of canola oil in the pan because I like my pancakes crispy. And they are delicious!
